I’m a big sports fan and junkie. I’d say I go on ESPN’s website ten times a day and use the ESPN app even more. I would score, watch for hours, and checking on what happened in the world of sports that I might have missed. Another website and application that I visited often are Facebook. I mainly go to Facebook because All of my friends and family are on there, and we would share things that we might think are funny. Also, there is so much information to look through daily. Such as breaking news stories, sports, movies, music, which celebrities got married or passed away. But I just mostly go on Facebook to kill time and watch funny and stupid videos some random person posted that were shared a thousand times. By the way, the time does fly, lol.
In all the years that I have used digital media, I had a positive experience using them. I don’t have too many complaints overall. I guess the only negative experience I have is all the advertisements being shoved in my face by big marking companies. The other day while I was trying to watch a sports highlight or read something on Facebook, I get 4 or 5 Ad’s pop on my screen. It just got me frustrated. I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels that way. I remember when I first signed on Facebook back in 2007. There were hardly any Ads on Facebook. Now you can’t go on the website or the app without an advertisement the first 10 seconds you log in.
I do feel like my needs are met for the most part. Since I’m a sports junkie can go on the ESPN website or app and get my fix. When I go on Facebook, I go there to be entertained and pass the time by. There is so much stuff to read and watch. Facebook has met all my need’s and I’m left satisfied.
I Have daily received emails from a wide variety of companies. Most of which is detail junk mail that does not catch my eye. A few do mainly from places I have shopped online before, like fanatics and Door Dash. Usually, the emails are offering some promotions and discounts.
I have noticed that digital media marketing today is everywhere. You cannot go to a website or app without some advertisement telling you if you buy from us today or subscribe on an annual or monthly plan, you can get a 10% discount or 25% discount. I also notice that the Ads are colorful and eye-popping. The companies do this to get the attention of the younger generation to buy from them.
